Since 1982, numerous professional, Olympic and world-class athletes have been treated at New Jersey Orthopaedic Institute (McInerney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute), where they have access to cutting-edge research and superb operative and nonoperative care.
Dr. Vincent K. McInerney graduated summa cum laude from Saint Peter’s University, Jersey City and from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with honors. After completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at Seton Hall University / St. Joseph’s Health training program, he became one of the first Sports Medicine Fellows at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School trained by Bertram Zarins and Carter Rowe. While in Boston, Dr. McInerney worked with the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots, in Dr. Henry Mankin’s Cartilage Lab, and at MIT developing neuromuscular training methods.
